- configure the modem registers. With this information, along with
- the switch explanations contained in MODEM1.DAT you will at least

- 1. Start with the modem turned off and the A/B switch in the
- A position.
- 2. Press and hold the T/D switch while turning on the modem.
- Release the T/D switch -AFTER- the MR indicator comes on.
- This will store the ECM default settings in Profile A of non-
- volatile memory.

- To place your modem into CCM, follow these steps:

- 3. Tap the T/D switch until just the CD light is lit (not
- flashing). The PEP and MR lights are OFF.
- 4. Press and hold the T/D switch (2 seconds or more) until the
- CD light is flashing again.
